A couple acting out a sexual fantasy sparked a police alert in Denmark. A witness saw a blindfolded woman being dragged into a forest by a man and called the police. Six police patrol cars and a motorcycle were sent out. When officers arrived they found the woman was involved in a sex game with her partner. The Berligske Tidende newspaper reports officers found the couple enjoying themselves behind some bushes, although they were clothed when police arrived. The couple explained their sex game involved pretending the woman was surprised by the man in the forest.

A pornographic film was shot inside a Hungarian library with the apparent consent of library officials. Media reports claim the library in Budapest gave permission for a local firm to rent a hall for the taking of "sensual photographs". Authorities are also said to be examining claims that the top of an Hungarian army tank was used for similar purposes. The library incident occured in 1995, but has only now come to light after the hardcore film appeared on an Hungarian internet porn site.

THE BBC is making an £18m film containing explicit sex scenes between a monk and a nun in 15th-century Italy. The Assumption of the Virgin, which will be unveiled this week at the Cannes film festival, stars Juliette Binoche, the French actress, as a nun who bears a monk's child after falling in love with him. Many cinemagoers are likely to be shocked by the scenes of forbidden sex. The film is about the genuine affair between Filippo Lippi, a monk who was also a leading Renaissance painter, and Lucrezia, the model for his Assumption of the Virgin ceiling, who later became his lover. The actual ceiling is in a church in Spoleto, north of Rome.

When Kerry O'Shea's friends opened the Sunday Mirror on five occasions last summer, they were surprised to see what appeared to be her latest career move. An advertisement for an adults-only website had a picture of a woman holding a telephone who, Ms O'Shea believed, looked uncannily like her. But a judge at the high court ruled yesterday that the possible confusion between "Miss E", a well-known glamour model who posed for the photograph, and Ms O'Shea, who had nothing to do with it, did not amount to a libel, despite Ms O'Shea's argument that her friends had seen the picture and believed she was working as an online porn model.

A new drug now in development may be even better than Viagra. Scientists testing the effectiveness of Cialis say it seems to work quicker and last longer. Separate studies have shown a single pill gave an erection within 16 minutes and at least one more 24 hours later. Viagra's manufacturer, Pfizer Inc, currently recommends it is taken about an hour before sex. Doctors were able to measure patients' responses to Cialis by using a Rigiscan which reads the firmness and duration of an erection

A Connecticut man has been accused of secretly taping a sexual encounter with his mistress and posting it on the internet. Richard Levitt has denied charges of voyeurism and disseminating voyeuristic material at New Britain Superior Court. Police say they arrested him after the woman found the footage on a wife-swapping site. She says she saw her image on Mr Levitt's laptop screen which had a miniature camera on top. They were in a hotel bedroom when he filmed them, the woman says.

Naked News, the nude Internet newscast which pegs itself as a program with nothing to hide, will flash its first nude male presenter today on its internet webcast. Lucas Tyler, a 33-year-old former investment adviser, will join the all-female news team, which strips bit-by-bit as they read the business, international, entertainment, sports and weather each day, said spokeswoman Kathy Pinckert.

Sky TV is advising couples how to spice up their sex lives in a new documentary series. Hotter Sex will feature sex expert Tracey Cox giving advice to specially chosen couples. One in three men associate bathrooms with sex, according to a new survey. Researchers for deodorant company Rexona found a third of men start thinking about sex as soon as the word bathroom is mentioned.
